I'm just tidying away after dinner and I've noticed a letter to wife on the kitchen table from her old bank just down the road from where she used to live on the Kilburn High Road. At the top it says -
"To contact us about this letter, write to us at -
Kilburn Branch
1 Legg Street
CHELMSFORD
Essex".
Ah, the wonders of modern day local banking, eh? It took them 2 years from her initial letter for them to finally stop referring to her as "Major General Godfrey" on her bank statements. I don't know what amused me more to be honest.
DNA's about 70% there now. I also took some time tonight to peruse the sonic armoury that resides within my new laptop. It's amazing how some sounds will instantly generate new ideas, I've got 4 belters as a result.
Other than that all is quiet at Major General Godfrey Towers.
At ease men.
Banks. Hmmmmmph! Absolutely no comment.
ReplyDeleteThe cheek!
ReplyDeleteShe must have been a Lieutenant General for at least 3 years!
